For the last 3 years, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting up with the amazingly talented photographer Lisa Holloway at the WPPI show in Las Vegas. Each year, Lisa has traveled with her daughter, and each year, I’ve made some impromptu portraits of her. Honestly, they are nothing compared to the breathtaking work that Lisa herself does. Still, Lisa’s daughter is so extraordinarlily beautilful that it is impossible NOT to want to photograph her. I’m not sure if it qualifies as a “tradition” quite yet, but I have. Every year. This gorgeous young model and I have been trying to shoot together for years. Really…. YEARS! Well, we finally made it happen, and it was well worth the wait. She brought a friend too, so I had a second beautiful young model to shoot. We were able to do some fun pictures together too. Both girls were amazing professionals and naturals in front of the camera. Here are just a few of their pictures….

Here is another model who I’ve taken every opportunity to photograph. You have only to look at the top of this page to see a photo of her from years past. We met up a few weeks ago to update her pictures. Here’s one of my favorites from the day.

One Year Later….

Some of you will recognize this model-pretty beauty from last year or from the amazing pictures that her talented photographer-Mom has made of her. Last year, I raced the light and arrived just in time to get a few photographs of her before the sun went down. Those pictures from last year are here. And here.

Well, it’s almost exactly one year later. And this time, instead of rapidly fading twilight, I had harsh mid-day sun to contend with. No scrim…. No reflector…. No shade. So I tried to use it instead of fight it. Here are a few of the pictures.

Since I couldn’t show you a face for the iheartfaces contest last week, how about a face this week! I had the pleasure of shooting this young model last weekend. She is just a natural in front of the camera! And do you see the dimples? I have soooooooooo many amazing pictures of her.

Sometimes it’s just fun to go out and take pictures, and if you can learn a thing or two in the process, all the better. I went out shooting with a few photo friends yesterday. Diane brought her two very beautiful and fun daughters to be our models for the afternoon. They did a great job (they were both naturals!) even though we wound up shooting until the sun went down. I keep finding new pictures that I love from the session with Charlotte we did a few weeks ago. I love this picture, but can’t decide if I like it better in color or B&W. Sound familiar? I promise I’m not so indecisive in real life!
